To see IFC options for the items overview go to the tab BIM in the top menu;

Model connection

  • Reconnect: Connect you with the last used IFC model.
  • Connect: Connect to any available model either stored on the model server or locally
  • Disconnect: Disconnects from IFC model

3D viewer

  • 3D viewer: Show/hide 3D viewer
  • Zoom top: Zooms to the selected object and shows it from above
  • Zoom out: Restores to original view
  • Save as image: Saves the current view as an image
  • Zoom in cut: Zooms to selected occurrence
  • Isolate: Shows/hide all other objects than the one you have selected
  • Hide spaces: Show/hide

 

In the same way as in the room overview, the Item overview will be in IFC view mode when you are connected to an IFC source. You can go in and out of this view from the menu IFC> Show IFC data.

Under each Item group, all Items will appear as usual in this group. An icon indicates if the Item is in the model or not:

The Item is not in the model but is marked For the drawing*.

 

When no icon is displayed, this indicates that the Item is not in the model and that it is not marked For the drawing.

The Item is in the model and is linked to the Item in dRofus.

The occurrence view can be turned on from the toolbar. This shows in which rooms the selected Item in (4) is in. In the IFC view, the list will have a column for "Number" which is the number planned in dRofus and a column for "Number in model" which displays the number of this object found at the designated room in the model. You can see the properties of these objects in the properties view to the left. Icons for each occurrence also illustrate the relationship between the program and the model:

  1. Navigation panel - When IFC is connected, users will see an additional tab called ‘IFC,’ which contains the IFC model's IFC classes. Navigation to Items is based on Item groups, classifications, statuses, or IFC classes.

  2. The BIM tab in the ribbon menu has options for Items connected to IFC.

  3. The list of linked Items will have a matching icon in the Match column.

  4. Occurrence Match. It shows a comparison of occurrences in dRofus and the model.

  5. Properties for IFC object. Displays all properties (object properties and property sets) related to the IFC object marked in the list of Items. Navigation is based on item groups or classifications; only matched items will have data in the Properties for the IFC object panel.
