If you have an xml field that you would like to apply a specific formatting to (e.g. last changed date) you can specify this under the group Home → Formatting. Make sure you first select the field you would like to format. You can then:
- Choose from a list of predefined formatting or
- Set a custom format
Under custom format you can create your own pattern or choose between a wide range of predefined patterns. Example:

This will print the date with the month with only three characters followed by the time without seconds, with AM/PM (10 Nov 2011 03:16 PM).
