You can string two or more attributes together using the Composite text attributes. Composite text attributes are available for Items, occurrences, and products and allow you to concatenate values in existing attributes into a new text value in a separate attribute. Occurrences are uniquely special since the fields available include items, rooms, and occurrences.

A description of creating a composite text field is placed under Edit Item Composite Text Attributes.

To create composite text attributes, you need superuser access to the database, as the setup is done in the Administration settings. Please refer to Project Administrator.

Currently, this feature can not be exported to xml or PDF, but is available in Excel Exports and Revit/ArchiCAD Add-On configurations.

Occurrence Example

In this example we are looking at an occurrence to see if the total price of the sum including subs is over $10,000 and if so, define a field as either Over 10K or Under 10K

The way it is set up is the same as for Items or products, the only difference being that the fields you can add are from the occurrence field picker.
