Key Attribute is used for linking Revit object with dRofus Objects. When syncronizing, dRofus will find the right object by searching for the object in Revit that has the same value as the object in dRofus. After dRofus have found the object with the matching value it will updating the rest of the attributes in the configuration

  • The value in the dRofus Attribute and the Revit parameter have to be the same for the linking to work.

  • Every configuration is required to have a Key Attribute

  • Can only be one Key Attribute in each configuration.

  • The selected parameter has to be unique.

  1. Select dRofus Attribute

  2. Select Revit Parameter

  3. Select "Link ==

Recommended dRofus ID as Key Attribute:

Revit object and dRofus object will lose the link if the value change in either the Revit attribute or the dRofus attribute. We therefore recommend using dRofus ID to be used as the Key Attribute. dRofus gives every object an ID that will stay the same even if the object is moved to another location.

Key attribute for Room or Space configurations,

We recommend to use the attribute:

  • dRofus "Room ID".

Alternative attribute that will stay unique but will change if the object is moved to another location:

  • dRofus "Room Function Number"

Key attribute for Item configurations.

We recommend to use the attribute:

  • dRofus "Item ID"

Alternative attribute that will stay unique but will change if the object is moved to another location:

  • dRofus "Item Number"

Key attribute for Instance / Occurrence configurations

We recommend to use the attribute:

  1. dRofus "Occurrence ID"
