Definition

RDS is a document used in building design to provide detailed information about individual Rooms or spaces. An RDS includes Room properties such as Room number and Room name, Room characteristics such as occupancy and adjacency and Room data such as dimensions and finishes. The RDS is adaptable for different stages of the project.

Workflows:

  1. Identify stakeholders and responsibilities 

  2. Develop Room data schema

  3. Develop report design

  4. Capture brief in Room properties and Room data

  5. Extrapolate Room brief into Item Occurrences

  6. Develop and coordinate Room design

  7. Update Room properties and Occurrences

  8. Develop Items and update Occurrences with construction level detail*

  9. Validate built Room**

*Coordination: Model(s) synchronized with dRofus

**Output: Room data sheets and Items in Rooms reports/ schedules/ specifications
