INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRIAL:
We hope that this trial helps you get a better understanding of our software and how it has been used to improve the efficiency and quality of many projects around the world.
You should have received access to a trial dRofus project and email which includes a link to download the software, the database name, plus your username and password.
If you do not have these details, please email us at: support@drofus.com
As a guide, the tasks outlined below should take approx 1-2 hours to complete:
Step 0 - Download + Unpack the files: Trial Files.zip
Step 1 – Import Rooms from Excel into dRofus
Step 2 – Link dRofus Rooms to Archicad Model and Export
Step 3 – Update Occurrences of Items from Archicad Model
Step 4 – Edit Room Template and Report
Step 5 – Edit Item and Report
Upon successful completion of each step you will have a dRofus database that has been rapidly populated with information, is linked to a design model and can produce a series of reports.

STEPS TO FOLLOW:
Import Rooms from Excel into dRofus
a. Install dRofus Client http://www.drofus.no/en/download/
b. Type in your username, password, database and server details, then log in
c. Import Rooms using the file “Step1_Accommodation-Schedule.xlsx”
Ensure that the following highlighted selections are made:
d. View Groups, ModelLink dRofus Rooms to Archicad Model and Export
a. Open Archicad model “Step2+3_Complex_Model_ARCH.pln” (If asked: Don’t skip “Library Migration')
b. Find dRofus menu and login
c. In Archicad open Floor Plan for Level 7
d. Synchronise dRofus Rooms with Archicad Zones (using “Sync Zones with dRofus” command)
Ensure that the following highlighted selections are made:
e. In dRofus generate Excel Export “Trial Accommodation Schedule”Update Occurrences of Items from Archicad Model
a. In Archicad from the dRofus Plug-In menu “Show Model Equipment”
Ensure that the following highlighted selections are made in the following sequence of steps:
b. Check options are set to all Responsibility Groups
c. Select current level only and Update dRofus
d. In dRofus Find PREMIUM BED 1 (L7)
e. Select View Room Data and Items
f. View Items in RoomEdit Room Template and Report
a. Find HBR-PRE - Hotel Bed Room – Premium
b. Edit Room Data
c. Upload Image “Step4_PremiumBedroom-ConceptImage.png”
d. Select report “Trial RDS”
e. Within options select Room Function LEVEL 07
f. Generate Report “Trial RDS”Edit Item and Report
a. Find Coffee Table F.040
b. Amend some of the Specification data
c. Upload Image “Step5_CoffeeTable-Image.png”
d. Select Report “Trial Item Spec”
e. Within options select Item Number “F.040”
f. Generate Report “Trial Item Spec”
g. Generate Furniture Schedule
