dRofus AEC Data Sync
The dRofus AEC Data Sync is an AEC Data Model Integration for Autodesk® Revit® via Autodesk Construction Cloud®
Automate BIM data synchronization between Revit and dRofus through Autodesk Construction Cloud® (ACC) and the AEC Data Model. This integration reduces manual updates, maintains consistent design data across platforms during design, and enables process automation.
Instead of opening Revit and using the dRofus desktop plugin to manually push model data to dRofus, simply publish the design model to ACC and use this integration to push the data from Revit into dRofus. Set-up and configuration are done via dRofus Web; attribute configurations defined in Revit are available to use with the integration. You will receive an email with a log when the sync is complete.

Appropriate user permissions in ACC and dRofus
To get started, first have an ACC admin install the integration. Next, a dRofus project should be configured with an attribute configuration specific to the ACC sync process.
This must be done in Revit https://drofus.atlassian.net/wiki/x/Dijdk
Ensure your dRofus project admin has defined the minimum dRofus permissions. You need Full Room and Full Model Server rights.
Using Revit 2025, publish a workset-enabled project to an ACC project.
Login to your dRofus project via dRofus web and navigate to the Model settings.
Select the Sync with Revit tab and Sign in with your Autodesk account.
When asked to authorize application data, select Allow.
Select the Hub and Project to use.
Note that published files are shown under Models in the project. If your design files are not listed, check your permissions in the ACC project or have an admin check your access. What you can view in ACC will match what we provide access to in our integration.
Select the Model Options defined earlier.
Select Sync to update dRofus.
An email will be sent when the sync is completed.
Options:
Turning on Add New will create new rooms in dRofus.
Turning on Delete Unmatched will remove rooms in dRofus that were removed between published updates. (You will need dRofus admin rights to delete rooms)
Turning on Automatically sync on model publish will set the settings defined earlier as read-only, and a sync will trigger when new models are published.
FAQ
Q: I am seeing “Built-in Attribute Configuration for room not supported. Please update the model options.” What should I do?
A: Go back to Revit and change the room configuration and update the model options. We do not support the default room configurations, you need to define a room configuration that does not use a key that requires writing back to the model and mapping of fields to edit the model as they are not supported.
Q: I am seeing ”No model options found” What should I do?
A: We require model options to be setup, see https://drofus.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DV/pages/2430412814 to configured one before you can use AEC Data Sync.
Q: Can I turn off automation and change the model option being used?
A: Yes, but if you do this, your action of turning it off will be in the log and automation will stop. If you turn it back on, the settings and permissions used will be used to configure the automation moving forward.
