dRofus offers several types of reports which are suited for print-out, storage or distribution via email. All reports are generated in PDF, Excel. XML or RTF format. In the web, the reports are in csv format.

The majority of reports are available directly in the relevant modules (e.g. the Room Data PDF report for rooms can be found in the Rooms module, under Import/Export in the ribbon menu. Or, you can create an excel report in all lists in dRofus by using short cut CTRLE+E or right clicking and choose to Export to Excel. For more info on this, see the info on each module. In addition, all PDF reports and the pre-defined Excel reports are available in the "Reports and exports" module from the left-side menu. 

PDF report generation

All data in dRofus is stored on a central server. From this, PDF reports (or, if you prefer, the XML tags that are the basis of a custom report) can be generated and sent back over the Internet. It is advantageous to limit the number of reports generated if possible. The reports generated for e.g. all rooms in the project naturally take a much longer time than reports for individual rooms. When you request a report, an Internet browser will automatically open showing the status for report generation and, finally, the report itself. If this takes a long time, you can continue working with dRofus while you wait. 

To navigate all the PDF reports, choose "PDF reports" under "Reports and exports" in the left-hand menu. You will see all the available PDF reports in a tree structure. Report Filters and Report setups below provides a general overview of the filters and potential for added information that can be used for these reports. Overview of Reports provides a brief overview of the different reports. Please note that not all reports may be available for all projects, and that new reports and filters are continuously developed.

Excel report (export) generation

There are two types of pre-defined excel exports - the built-in ones, and the ones that are created on a per-project basis. For the built in excel exports, the available choices are similar to those available for PDF report generation, with a set of pre-defined filters and columns that can be used in the report.

For the per-project excel reports, a dRofus admin can use an excel template (for example containing a pre-defined pivot table or macro), and upload that together with a setup for which fields to extract from dRofus. This will allow users in the project who have access to the relevant fields needed, to use it in the same way as they would a built-in report.

In addition, any user with the right access (eg. Rooms access for Rooms fields) can create a tailored excel excel export that they can combine with an excel template they have locally. This is available from the "Excel Projects Exports" top-level page (you will see a button to the bottom right of the window "Create excel export" that can be used for this).

It is also possible to generate an Excel report/export from any list panel in any module by right-clicking and choose "Export to Excel". With this choice an excel will be generated without a pre-defined template.

Using the dRofus Web for reporting

In the dRofus web, there is an easy access for users not so familiar to dRofus to create their own tables with dRofus data. The user rights they have will be the same as if they were using the clients, so they will be able to see the same data they can in the client. Here, it is possible to see the data together with a visualized IFC model if such has been uploaded. It is possible in the web to copy the url of any list and send that to any user to allow them to see the same data that the current user is seeing, if they have the access right to see the data. The user who receives the url will be asked to log on after clicking on the url - the dRofus web will then open showing the same list that the user creating the url saw.

It is also possible to create a CSV export of a dRofus web list, by pressing the "Export" button on top of any list.
