Components represent occurrences of Item types and can either have:
System classification and/or
Item classification.
Both System and Item classification
In both all cases the Classification must be set on the item so that it can generate unique codes for the occurrences.
As the opening window in Systems also displays the item list, both a System Classification and an Item Classification can be set for each item.
A Component with System Classification is, in our terminology, called Occurrences of Item with System Classification will be a System Component. A System Component, therefore, is an occurrence of an item with the System Classification set to it.
To set an Classification to an Item, select an Item and set the Classification in the properties window (under Classification).

How to set classification on Items
Display Items in the System Module
Select the “Item” Tab to display option from the “Item module” in the “Systems module”
Click on the Item symbol in the panel to displayed the Item List
Click on the Item Groups in the Navigation pane to displayed the Item groups.

Go to the Classification in the property pane
Click on «•••» all the possible classifications will be displayed.
