Another way to keep zones linked to dRofus is to enable a "Place rooms mode" from the dRofus Add-On menu, as it is shown belowAnother way to link ArchiCAD Zones dRofus Rooms is to enable Place Rooms Mode. When you are in the place mode Place Rooms Mode, the 'Link room' Zone dialog (see Linking ArchiCAD Zones) will appear each time you place a new zone in the model. Through ArchiCAD Zone. Using this you will be prompted to link all new zones Zones created in the model. 
When "Place rooms mode" is activated you will be able to pick an unplaced room from dRofus when you create a new zone in ArchiCAD. The same steps as described in the previous section apply here when the 'Link room' dialog appearsTo activate the Place Rooms Mode, either use the dRofus Menu or the dRofus Ribbon as follows:

In cases where an ArchiCAD ArchiCAD Module file is Hotlinked into a Master file, the ArchiCAD Add-On file is Hotlinked into a Master file, the dRofus Addon enables you to use any of the the Hotlinked Modules' Zones' parameter parameter as the 'the Key Attribute used for Comparing'comparing. Of course, in this case - there will be no need to (and you cannot) write into any of the the Hotlinked filesModules' Zones' parameter that has been used as the 'Key Attribute for Comparing' parameters. However you can utilize it as the 'one Key Attribute 'used for comparing, and then you may have other native (writable) parameters in ArchiCAD where you may want to push values from dRofus to ArchiCAD, and / or use any of the available parameters in ArchiCAD where you may want to push values from ArchiCAD to dRofus. |
